I've always been one to play in the sun, and for years I'd prepare for the sun's exposure and (skin baring summer clothing) by visiting the tanning beds. BUT...I've become more aware of how ridiculously dangerous this can be and I'm curious about the spray tanning salon's now provide. Can I get the same results from purchasing a bottle of self tanner??? Is there any hope in either looking ';natural'; and not ';orange';???Tan from a bottle vs. Professional spray tan???
Dont use fake n bakes they look orange and they streak. I use coffee on my skin and it acts a stain. It always looks natural everyone thinks my skin tone is real. It doesn't wash but it does fade in a few days but then you just apply more. It never streaks! All you do is get a cup of black coffee let it cool of coarse, then apply with a cotton pad (they work better than cotton balls).Let it dry for 5 mins and if you want your skin color even deeper just apply more. Its as simple as that, Good luck!Tan from a bottle vs. Professional spray tan???
Professional spray-on tans such as Mystic Tan, etc will look more natural than the self-tanners in a bottle. The chance for streaking with a spray-on tan is far less than using the bottled products.
If you try either method, be sure and wear sunscreen when you are outdoors, because your skin is still its regular shade underneath that spray-on or bottled tan, so you can get sunburnt still!
I would try the professional first!!! The lotions can make you all streaky!!! As for looking natural i don't think either one will do however it might look slightly better if you do the spray on i dont think they are so orange in color!!! You have to be very careful though not to get it on your clothing and such!!!
Getting a spray tan done is a lot nicer then applying sunless tanner yourself. Most salons use a higher end sunless tanner which gives you a nicer color. Also, spray tans apply more evenly and are less hassle then applying it yourself. Spray tans give a mist spray which is better then a thicker coat of sunless spray at home. Believe me, I have tried all sorts of things.
Before you spray shave, shower and exfoliate. This will make your spray last longer and be more even. Wear old loose clothes and flip flops when you go. I think the new mystic tan gives the best results.
