Spray tan do i exfoliate first?

i want a spray tan what is the best thing to do before you get oneSpray tan do i exfoliate first?
i work in a tanning salon. so listen to me, haha. exfoliate and use a water based lotion (lubriderm, curel.... anything that the first ingredient is ';water'; and NOT SCENTED) 2-3 hours before you spray. dont shower until 4 hours after you spray for best color results.

definitely shave and everything before, too. and keep using the lotion aftewards it'll make it last longer. u dont have to pay big bucks for the lotion they sell in the salon... lubriderm curel or any water based moisturizer will do just fine. they wont tell u that in the salon because they want to make money off of you.. but i have worked in a salon for 3 years now... so take my word.

and i just saw the comment about the mystic turning her orange. . . they have made the solution MUCH better since it first came out. but if theres magic tan anywhere near you id use that one.. its AWESOME.Spray tan do i exfoliate first?
ya exfoliate or just dont get a spray tan (it looks orange, but if u want to go ahead)
Exfoliate the day before and on the day dont wear any body lotions, make up, moisturiser or perfumes.
exfoliate before sun bath or even spray tan to get the best colour possible
yes exfoliate, otherwise your tan will come out all patchy cause some of the rougher skin like your knees and elbows would have absorbed more tan than the smoother parts of your body.
yes, definitely exfoliate first.
u shud exfoliate
yeah u are best to exfoliate and moisturize before it or ask the salon that id doing it if they do it for you
yes it will make your tan last much longer
I always shave my legs, armpits, bikini area and exfoliate my whole body, including my face. After you get the spray tan I moisturize everyday with a lotion that you can buy at the place you get the tan at. And I know leg hair grows fast, but the tan fades much faster if you shave.
first of all DONT GET IT!! my friend was pregnant last year for prom and she wanted to get a tan but she couldnt lay in a tanning bed, so she did the mystic tan and she turned orange and in about two days it started coming off and it left streaks on her arms and legs..it looked like crap. i would suggest just laying a few times in a tanning bed and calling it good because i wouldnt want to be orange from a spray on tan. trust me it looked like a oompaloompha or however you spell it from the movie ';Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory';.

if you still want to do the spray on tan though, i would definately exfoliate before you do it.
Some salons do that for you before tanning
trust me don't do it people will say that you've been tangoed, Cu's that's what your gonna look like.
totally exfoliate hun, but make sure you put plenty moisturiser on your knee's and elbows etc otherwise the drier skin will take more pigment, hope this helps!!!
Get a hot shower and exfoliate it the best thing before, make sure you rub your skin till it is red then you will have a great tan and it will last longer .x
exfoliate first
Hi if your planning on getting it done at a salon then I would go and ask them but you usually do have to exfoliate first. I would go and see at the salon first as they might want you do apply something different or us one of there products to get there best tan. It will be a waste of time if you scrub yourself down and they have you do it again when you get there or they will ask you to go away and come back. Not saying they will as I have never had a spray tan at a salon. I do my own with the babyliss beach bronze home spray tan and I do exfoliate first.

The only thing is I was reading about tanning and it does tell you to exfoliate evey time before you tan especailly the knees, elbows, ankles and anywhere else that is dry. But I was always finding that the colour still sticks more to these areas, The I read on the Fake Bake wesite, that you apply an oil free moisturizer to these areas before you tan this way the tan will still go onto these body parts but will not appear more orange or darker than everywhere else. So I tried it and It works much better. But before you do this I would check it out at the salon first as they might suggest not to do it, or maybe use some of there stuff.
