Best sunless tanning method? Spray tan or tanning bed?

I'm not looking to pick up a lot of color, just enough to have a ';glow'; for my wedding. However, I really can't just do it the natural way. My dress is strapless and I don't want tan lines. So, what is the best way to pick up a little color?

Spray tan?

Tanning bed?

And since I've never done either before, when should I begin the tanning process to get ready for my wedding (late July)?

Thanks!Best sunless tanning method? Spray tan or tanning bed?
i say neither. i think the best way to do it is the jergens natural glow body lotion. i use the face one but i've had great results. it gave me a touch of color and a nice glow. takes about a week for results to pick up. its not too much and i didn't come out orange which might happen if you went spray tanning or into a tanning bed - plus, tanning beds aren't the safest places. spray tans come out fake looking. but if you want to try them anyway do it asap so that you have time for it to wear our just in case you don't like it. you should never try anything new on such a special occasion because you don't know what will happen. so have a couple of trial tests before you do it for the wedding. good luck and congrats!Best sunless tanning method? I would recommend a spray tan since you don't need a lot of color and it's so much safer for your skin (many have good moisturizers on top of the fact that it's not UV). One thing that you have to watch out for though, is that spray on tans can get on your clothing, which isn't good for a wedding dress! If you make sure that you get it a few days ahead of time, you can get the residue off in the shower before you put on your wedding dress. If you were to get it the day of, or even the day before, it's likely your dress will have brown marks, especially under the arms and around the chest.

Also make sure that you follow the directions they give you exactly (putting the protective gel/lotion on hands, cleaning up after the spray, etc.), so that you don't end up with streaks. I also might suggest getting one NOW as a trial run, so that you know how your skin reacts to it - you want to make sure you get the results you want.

Congratulations and good luck!
Tanning bed is just as bad as laying in the sun. Spray tan~however whenever I've spray tanned, I've turned out to look like a Oompa, Loompa.
I've done every method of tanning out there.

Stay away from the tanning beds-- for obvious cancer reasons.

You could try Neutrogena's self-tanner....its a foam that's tinted so you can see where you're spreading it.

I've also done the salon spray-tan....the Mystic. Its expensive, but I found it worth the money (I went that route for my wedding). Each session (in my salon at least) was $25. It took 2 sessions for me to acheive the color I wanted-- you don't want to be overly-done. I would suggest going in for a test session....then going in for one or two sessions the week of the wedding.

The Mystic (spray on) tan takes about 4 hours to become the full color...and the only warning I'll give you is to not wear white panties or a bra....even after you remove the excess color after stepping out of the booth its nearly impossible to catch everything. I ended up having to bleach one of my white bras....and uh, the spandex deteriorated.
Hi

I wud say a tanning bed even though it cums wit more risks if ur on it non stop. But u can always tel wen sum 1's using fake tan or had a spray tan as da colours to un-natural. If u use a tanning bed den it wil look natural as its just like being out in da sun. I reccommend u start going on now bout 2 or 3 times a week for 5mins at a time so u dont burn %26amp; so u body can adapt 2 it if u havnt used 1 b4.

once u hav got a tan built up then u can go on it 4 10mins once a week.

i hope i hav helped?
I would reccommend a tanning bed, but start out with only like 4 or 5 minutes at a time and work your way up to about 20. Spray tanning will look worse but is less harmful and vice versa with tanning beds. I use a tanning bed and the tan comes out very even.
SPRAY TAN!

Tanning beds are worse for you than being out in the sun...

You don't want cancer or anything, do you?
DON't DO TANNING BEDS (or cancer beds) Some studies also say that they are addictive. It will also look fake and probably darker than you want.

Just be careful of your palms and soles of your feet. That's how you tell it's fake. You don't naturally tan there. Also, watch the shade. Again, don't want to look fake.

Look on the bottle for timming instructions. (or if they aren't there,m look on the brand's site)
Spray tan has a better chance of looking back because of streaking, missed spots, etc. But it is MUCH safer and I would never lay down in a tanning bed and put my health at risk.
